Just to reassure you, all stairlifts typically travel at a speed of 0.15 meters per second, which is roughly equivalent to 0.34 miles per hour. This speed is consistent for both straight and curved stairlifts. This slow, controlled speed is designed to ensure a safe and comfortable ride for users.

We had been thinking about a stair lift for my husband, but thought they would be out our price range! but through a friend who recommended Suttons!
I phoned and asked several questions, they made appointment for a few days time!
On the said day Owner arrived very very promptly ! measured up and gave us a favourable quote! said straight away we would have one installed , a date was set for the next week!
Engineer arrived again on time, 2 hours later all installed!

My mum needed a stairlift fitted so that she could come home from hospital after she had a fall and needed a hip replacement. I contacted Max at Sutton’s Stairlifts and he came and measured up the next day. He was able to recommend several solutions to keep the cost down whilst also automating as many of the functions as possible because my mum has Parkinson’s. The engineer (Dan - who was great, very thorough and helpful) came one week later to fit the new lift. This meant that mum could be discharged from hospital and could go upstairs to bed from day one. I would not hesitate to recommend Sutton’s Stairlifts. They are very responsive with excellent communication and service. We couldn’t be happier with the stairlift which has enabled my mum to stay in her own home.

Suttons are a very caring, friendly company with great experience in helping you choose the right stairlift for you and your home. We had to have one made for our stairs as it has a curve at the top, yet from time of order to having it installed was only 3 weeks. The 2 young men that came and fitted it only took them 2 and a half hours to install and demonstrate the chair and no mess to clean up.
I have already recommended the company to 2 people and will more .

Can’t thank the staff at the Shepton Mallet branch of Suttons Stairlifts enough for the way they installed a stairlift for my husband which then needed to be removed with an hour’s notice to allow ambulance personnel to have free access to use a stretcher. Everything was dealt with extremely quickly and it was made so simple - no unwanted sales jargon, everything explained properly and no added costs - would definitely recommend to anyone who wants first class service.

Sunday morning - wife disabled following a stroke - stairlift stuck at top/head of stairs. All attempts to make it work failed. Left a mssg on Suttons website hoping to get help early on Monday.
Then just tried phoning and surprised to have an answer - Mark Sutton himself! He listened to the problem and took the matter seriously - so much so that he drove the 40 miles to our house arriving within 90minutes of our original call. Needless to say he fixed the stairlift and it was operational again- much to my wife's relief.
Quite amazing in these days, to have the owner of the business turn out on a Sunday morning because a customer is in trouble.

This company installed a stair lift for my parents that is going to be of massive, positive benefit to their lifestyle and their ability to continue living in the house where they have lived for over the last 50 years. My parents both remarked to me that all the workers from this company who came out to the property to discuss their options, survey their requirements and later install the stair lift were courteous and professional. No pressure was put on my parents to 'make a sale' for the company, they were given space to decide what they needed. At installation, the initial seat (a refurbished model) did not work with the lift, but the company supplied a new one at no quibble and no extra cost. My impresison is that this company cares a great deal about their customers and does a good job. Recommended.

Having talked to the "Major St airlift providers" I sought a local provider on recommendation of a friend. Mark Sutton came and gave us a friendly "no pressure" quote. I then told the other other bidders "no thank you". I was then subject to some hard sell from them. Mark Sutton's approach was refreshingly relaxed. No pressure. The result is a super chairlift fitted in three hours at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
